REQUIRED GEAR for
150 & 100 Mile racers

• Headlamp • Rear flashing light on at all times • A reflective vest will be provided to each racer which must be worn at all times • Sleeping bag (-20 is recommended) • Bivy sack or tent • Stove • 8 oz. Fuel • Cooking Pot

December is the coldest time of the year with temperatures dropping below negative 30 degrees Fahrenheit! Please be prepared!

You as veteran winter cyclists know what you need to bring to stay safe in harsh winter events. You should have these items or similar to race the Sheep Mountain Bike Race:

• Closed cell foam sleeping pad or equivalent • Flashlight • Firestarter (matches or lighter) • Full wind suit • 5,000-7,000 calories of food • Winter tested bike pump • Heater packs • Extra tube • GPS, map, compass

 


REQUIRED GEAR for
50 & 25 Mile racers

• Headlamp • Rear flashing light on at all times • A reflective vest must be worn at all times (this is provided to the 50 mile racers, 25 mile racers need to provide their own).

CHECK IN & GEAR CHECK for 50 Mile racers: Friday, December 9th, 2011 at 10:00 am.

CHECK IN & GEAR CHECK for 25 Mile Racers: Saturday, December 10th, 2011 at 10:30 am.

These are items you should have with you for the race:

Winter bike pump, extra tube, back up light, batteries, heater packs, food, water, proper foot & head gear (layering system works best). Please email us if you have any questions.
